The building is located on the outskirts of Poznań, in close proximity to open spaces surrounded by forests. The neighboring development is characterized by low density. Both factors were utilized to create a house that is visually open to the surrounding nature while also organizing the urban context and respecting the owners’ privacy.
The designed building features a compact form and a functional layout centered around a centrally located living room that opens onto the dining area and kitchen. The ground floor functional program is complemented by a study, bathroom, utility rooms, and a built-in garage. Integral to the house are large terraces accessible through large panoramic windows in the living room and dining area. The glazing and terraces, facing southeast, connect the interior space with the surrounding nature. Over the terraces, canopies and openwork sun breakers have been designed to protect the house from overheating during the summer months.
The private section, consisting of the master bedroom with a walk-in closet, two children’s rooms, and a bathroom, is located on the first floor. The first-floor circulation is enhanced by a common lounge area that allows for flexible arrangement. Terraces are also planned on the first floor—one accessible from the lounge with a view of the front yard and another from the master bedroom with a wide open view to the southeast.
